Team Wiscohockey.com:  U18 Jr Prospects Taking Shape

Press Release

1/24/2011

Middleton, WI - Believe it or not, the spring season is right around the corner.  This season (spring 2011), Team Wiscohockey.com’s U18 Jr. Prospects team, the team that travels to Toronto to participate in the “Prospects” tournament, is once again attracting Wisconsin’s top talent.

The mission behind the U18 Jr. Prospects team is simple; offer it’s members exposure, player development and consulting during their transition to junior hockey.

The 2011 schedule blends week night practices, with weekend games and showcase tournaments.  The highlight of the schedule is once again the Prospects tournament in Toronto over the weekend of May 6, 2011

Since it’s inception in 1996, the Prospects tournament has turned out more NHL and collegiate players than any other off-season tourney of its kind.   A majority of the teams competing at Prospects, carry Junior A players from various leagues in North America, so the skill level is extremely high.

Last year’s tournament featured over 45 teams competing under one roof and on four sheets of ice.  With that much talent in one building, the Prospects tournament is a scout’s dream.

Each year, coaches and scouts from the NHL, Canadian Major Junior, NCAA, NAHL, USHL, EJHL, CSHL and MJHL attend Prospects, looking for talent to fill their future rosters.  This type of exposure is unmatched during the spring season and with the junior drafts just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better for a player looking to play at the next level.

With this many “next level” eyes on the U18 Jr. Prospects team, the cost involved with being a member of the 2011 squad comes at a real bargain.  When you factor in the quality coaching, high tempo practices and weekend games, against elite competition, the U18 Jr. Prospects team is a deal that can’t be beat.
