The Middleton Cardinals (2-2-0) scored eleven unanswered goals in a route over Big Eight foe, Madison Memorial, this past Tuesday night at Cap Ice in Middleton.

Senior, Mike Derosa, got the game winner just under three minutes into the contest and finished with two goals on the night.  Junior Adam Derosa, Mike’s younger brother, scored two goals of his own later in the second stanza on defensive break downs by the Spartans and finished the night with four points.

Senior, Brett Bybee, added a goal and an assist and junior John Gillis notched his first of the year lying on his back from ten feet away.

Senior captain and statewide standout, Brett Skibba, finished the night with two goals and assist.  “We are getting pucks to the net,” said Skibba, in reference to the Cardinals offensive attack.  “The offense is looking good as we are getting in the right positions to score almost every time.”

Skibba’s line mate, senior sniper, Todd Koritzinsky, turned a hat trick (3 goals), added an assist and was awarded the player of the game.

The Cardinals held the Spartans to nine shots in three periods, while firing 52 shots of their own on Spartan goaltender, Ryan Lashua.  Middleton’s Devin Kaschinske, earned the shutout.
